This past general election reminded me of the injustices of the voting system. A project to improve Hogle Zoo was passed by Utah’s Legislature. We did not vote to approve the improvements. We voted on how to make the payments.

Voting is not an obligation. It is a civic duty. In a democrat society everyone is responsible for the forming of their nation. Citizens of the United States should participate in the forming of laws guiding the country.

The pregnancy rates in the United States are outrageous. Education often helps people make better decisions; however, content in “Sexual Education” crosses religious boundaries. A class focusing raising children educates and prepares teenagers for a rewarding career in childcare.

Today while watching “Celebrity Fit Club” thinking my usual thoughts of how they are all on the show to try and save their careers by being on the show and could not care less about losing weight; it occurred to me that some morbidly obese celebrities died from cocaine abuse. In fact, based on their deaths a person could safely say that cocaine has no affect on a person losing weight. That is probably why they talk about that method on the show, though Screech tried taking fad weight loss drugs once.

The entertainment industry is growing in the United States. Movies and television shows are major exports and everyone dreams of becoming famous. Despite this booming industry many are left out. Living in Utah, I see the injustice all the time. As a “Right to Work State,” we are also “the Price Shopper’s Special.”

What is politics? It can be explained in two quotes. Economics are defined by Alexis de Tocqueville. “It is tasked to satisfy with limited means unlimited desires.” Politics are defined by Harold Lasswell. “Who gets what, how and when?”

Restricting resources created a decline in the United State of America’s economy. Several years ago, mining and farming lands were restricted. We had an abundance of resources. The excess could be sold in International markets; however, it would be difficult entering the markets. We would have had to lower prices to the point losing a profit. Theoretically as other countries over-exerted their resources, we could charge more in times of scarcity.

These laws are fairly straightforward. They want to reduce the amount of time that Utah’s Congress meets. The method for handling vacancies in the Governor’s office are defined, so the Legislature only has to convene once a year, though the time is extended 30 days in the event a Governor is Impeached. (The measure appears in “Complete Text Constitutional Amendment C.)They are also limiting the time for redistricting to an annual session. However, limiting the Legislature’s annual session to 45 days could be problematic.

Constitutional Amendments B and E for the State of Utah are linked. You first have to research the “permanent state trust fund” to gain an understanding of the intent behind the law. A little know fact about the fund is that it was established after the Master Settlement Agreement with Major Tobacco Companies. However, the major benefactor is the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

A short while ago I was curious about the Amendments and Propositions in Utah’s 2008 General Election. It was impossible finding the information on the Internet. Preferring to research each candidate and issue before voting, Amendments and Propositions are as important as voting for President. After volunteering to be an Election Judge, they handed out a sample of the Official Ballot in training.

Tension is rising as November Fourth arrives. This is the first time in US History someone presenting themselves as anything other than a white male is the Presidential Nominee for a major party.

It bothers me that our government has let the recession go on for so long. Now they are going to give someone $700 billion to bail out companies with creative spending. This is supposed to revitalize the economy; however, this faulty logic. Spending to save corporations will only increase debt and increase taxes. This is contradictory to formulas used to balance the economy. Generally speaking, when there is a recession interest and taxes are lowered to increase discretionary spending. Having more money in consumer hands stimulates spending. Selling more products requires having more employees and then people working have more money to spend and buy more products.

Looking around at all the videos on the Internet, it seems like everyone is making their take on how to do make-up of hair, so now I have my own video. It is “How to: 4 Goth Looks.” Someone on the gothic.net/boards was wondering how to apply eyeliner and then foundation, so I decided to demonstrate the whole make-up process.

People cling to two stories in the bible to propagate racism against each other: The Story of Cain and Able, and the Story of Noah. However, these stories are nothing more than points of interest in modern society.

Colbert Loves being where the news action is, that is why he is reporting in front of an image of the Atlanta airport. He states that he missed his connection; however, he is prepared for the flights. He has a Cinna-Bun, neck pillow and voodoo doll of himself.

Colbert got out of Saint Paul fast. The show is reporting live in front of scenery of New Orleans. Nothing happened Hurricane Gustav came and left without any flooding or looting. Now everything is going on in Saint Paul again. A rumor is going around that Palin field dressed a moose.

Now Colbert is appearing in front of the Excel Center for the National Republican Convention. Clearly everyone can see the Excel Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota behind him. Unfortunately, no one went to Saint Paul. They are all down in New Orleans.

Obama seems like a nice person; however, the Democrats currently have the House Majority. Seeing in Obama become president would be good; however, he is not telling his vision for the United States of America. Will he veto or approved based on merit or be a party politician?  Even after his speech at the DNC he appears to be a party politician who will veto or approve laws based on the presenter. If a measure is supported by Democrats it is okay. If a measure is supported by a Republican it will be vetoed.

I’m thinking about giving blogging on the Report a rest. Seems like trying to be analytical is ruining the show for me; I’m taking the whole weekend off. That should give me some time to recuperate.

Another Colbert spectacular had graced the Comedy Central Network once again. It is amazing. Night after night he always comes up with new material.

Colbert was on top of things this night. It was odd and possibly contrary to his usual appeal.

This was a fun show. A lot was going, so this truly is just the highlights.

This was an especially eventfully report. It was entertaining on many levels. An astronaut, Dr. Garrett Reisman was pipe-lined into the show. He did some deep space tricks, like a flip and spinning his wrist strong bracelet in that special spacey way. Reisman was obviously excited to be on the show. You could tell he really is a fan.

I’ll give this one a "sort of odd." Maybe because I’m blogging about know or because it sounded like frat boys were in the audience today, but felt as though I was being pandered to.

He is back on his game. This show was a lot funnier or I understood more of the jokes. He started off by sexually harassing his female intern after reading an article that ovulation makes women’s counting sexier. Of course, he finds counting sexy anyway.

I was going to stay away from blogging about television, but now I’ve decided to make blogging about “the Colbert Report” an almost daily blog. Watching the end of “the Daily Show,” Stephen Colbert renounced John Stewart, because everyone thinks of them as the same, “Colbert.” Now I feel specifically obligated to blog about “the Colbert Report” and never about “the Daily Show.”

The Democrat National Convention is wrapping up. It was quite a bit different than expected. Colbert notices how unlike what he had imagined there everyone wasn’t joined together in singing John Denver songs. Then footage of everyone singing John Denver songs pops up.

Live from Denver again, Colbert is where the news is, because that is what he does, be where the news is, reporting the news. To prove this he is baking brownies using the high altitude directions. Staying at a historic manor in the Denver Mountains he finds a message, “A-M-A-B-O.” Looking at the reflection is spells, “Obama.” Popping the brownies into the oven under his desk he continues reporting the news.

“Live from Denver,” to quote Stephen Colbert. I guess that’s where he is and where else would he be? Footage from the old television show “Dynasty” only proves this more, because that doesn’t make sense; except, for the First Bank of Denver which must have been in Denver.

Reporting live in front of a screen with footage of Denver, Colbert displays items demonstrating how he is actually in Denver. He has a Denver Omelet and footage of the Situation Room at the Democrat Convention. There was a lot of nudity and they burned a large wooden creature. Turns out it was footage of Burning Man.
