Ken Keicher
I am male, 55 years of age from Charlotte, NC. I have been authoring a blog on Google's blogger web site for the past year or so, adding a post every so often as I discover new ways to bring myself closer to total self-awareness. The posts cover a wide variety of subjects from meditation to tips on how to think in a positive way and live a happy peaceful life.

It's Time For a Change

Our society is based on free
enterprise but it has evolved into a monster that only caters to those who have
the most money. A good example of this is our system of credit. It is not
designed to help anyone but the financial institutions themselves. And those
who have the highest credit scores get the lowest interest rates while those
with the lowest scores have to pay the highest interest rates.

Anyone who is naive enough to believe that
America practices democracy is kidding themselves. While our country is based
on the concept, it has been taken out of the hands of the people and placed
into the hands of presidents like Bush who have run our precious country like
they want to, strictly for personal gain.
How Real Is Your Reality?

Are you living in a dream
world? In a sense, you are. The words ‘real’ and ‘reality’ are alike in that
they both are forms of one word or the other. But at the same time, what do
they mean? Reality is subjective and unique to each individual. What’s real for
me might not be real for you and vice versa. My reality, whether manifested
while fully awake or while sleeping, is still just as real as can be.
How Do I Manifest?

The process of getting what
you want from life is fairly simple. It takes focus and determination and above
all, you must decide that you aren’t going to give up, no matter what happens.
As soon as you’ve made that decision, you have already taken a huge step
towards receiving even more than you asked for because of the positive energy
you created and the attitude you’re promoting.
How Do I Become Self-Aware?

When you think about self-awareness, its ultimate goal
would most likely be to have the life you want. But how does a person get to
the point of becoming totally self-aware? Part of the key is to have the desire
to be.
UNDERSTANDING BASIC SCALES AND CHORDS - Part III

Learning
to hear intervals between notes is an important part of building chords,
because, as previously stated, when you progress beyond the basic 3-note chords
into 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-note chords that are common in modern music styles, being
able to identify the function of a melody note in a song will often help you determine
what kind of chord is to be either played by a performer or created by a
composer.
WHAT IS A TRUE FRIEND?

A true friend is hard to come by. You might mistakenly
believe that someone who gives you anything you want or does anything for you
is a true friend. Usually, the things that people seemingly do out of
friendship are really intended to get you to do something for them in return.
It’s not always stated that way, but they will act nicely and say nice things
when in reality they are expecting a favor from you too. It’s the price you
pay, because they aren’t really your friends. Giving something to you is a
means to an end for them. You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. A true
friend would scratch your back if you needed it and would never expect
something in exchange for that.
WHAT DOCTORS AND DRUG COMPANIES DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW

Our society pretty much has this idea that when something is
ailing you that won’t go away on its own, the only answer is to go see your
family doctor. And if you don’t personally practice any kind of alternative
healing therapy, traditional therapy is your only solution. Don’t simply take
my word for what I’m about to suggest to you, but instead do some research like I have and
decide for yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you discover.
STUPID ADVERTISING

I don’t know if it’s just me who feels this way but
television advertising seems to have hit the bottom of the creative barrel. Do
we really want to see a bunch of ridiculous gimmicks to convince us to buy?
While some ads can be catchy and others comical, there are also lots of them
that portray complete stupidity and others are just downright disgusting.
WHY ARE WE HERE?

We have all asked ourselves why we are here and more than
likely we have asked often. The life you live is very special, in fact more so
than you can even imagine. Look around you now and take in all the beauty that
is here. Life and its creation is truly a miracle.
SO YOU WANT TO BE A ROCK STAR?

Making it big in the music industry is a lot more than just
being in the right place at the right time. It takes tremendous dedication and
a lot of hard work to get there. And you have to play all your own songs, pay all your own expenses and get fans that will
come to hear you play. With the economy being the way it is, especially now with
skyrocketing fuel costs, it’s really tough out there to even be able to
survive, considering that if you can’t bring a crowd into the places you play
your show, you will be playing for free and spending money to get there, to
stay in a motel and then to get home. This has caused many bands to fall by the
wayside, unable to finance their endeavors.
NEEDS, WANTS and LIFE'S REALITIES

Manifesting
your reality is really very simple. Anyone can get what they want by
letting the universe know what it is. Usually there are a couple of
problems that arise and become obstacles in the process. The main
obstacle is deciding what it is that you want. And if you put too many
conditions on your wants and desires, your possibilities become fewer
and fewer. In essence, the wanting turns into needing when you are too
specific about your goals.
RELIGION versus SPIRITUALITY

When
Jesus Christ walked this Earth, he was the most perfect example of what
we might become if we followed his path. Somewhere along the way
between then and now, we have allowed the true message to become
something quite different. God created Man in his own image. The only
real difference between man and Jesus is that he came to Earth knowing
who he was. The 'who' that I am referring to is 'God'. You might ask
how could I say that? The answer is quite simple and it has nothing to
do with Jesus Christ being the only son of God because we are all sons
and daughters of God, created in his image.
BECOMING SELF-AWARE

Most
people are taught at a very young age not to be selfish and to share
what you have with others. This is a very good idea on how to live but
it can be overdone to the point that you put yourself at the bottom of
your list of priorities. You must learn to walk that thin line between
giving to others and taking care of yourself. It's always a delicate
balance between the two.
THE POWER OF WORDS

The
power of words refers to words of intent. Idle chat doesn't carry much
power because of its randomness of thought producing the words.
Planned, intentional words placed into carefully structured sentences
and paragraphs create energy and become very powerful. Random, idle
chat may still pierce the feelings of those who are the object of those
words, so it's always best to carefully choose the words you speak when
talking to others.
ALTERNATIVE FUEL TECHNOLOGIES

Many new technologies are being developed to help supply clean,
renewable energy for our cars, our homes and for our industries, taking
dependence on foreign and domestic oil away from those who are using it to
control us and our economy. We have waited far too long to take these very
courageous steps towards securing our nation and our future. We’re continuing
to see how rapidly the whole world’s need for energy is growing. And as the
demand increases, so does the price we have to pay for it. What this means is
that what we pay at the pump is only going to get higher and it’s never going
to return to what it was in the past.

Manifesting
your future and your life to be exactly what you want it to be is a
goal that everyone has, but most of us are impatient. Simply stated, you want it all and you want it RIGHT NOW!
The problem with that kind of thinking is that the thoughts you have
now are creating your future, not your present. Your present situation
and life was created by your past thoughts.

GIVING UP and GIVING IN are Not the Same

One of the hardest parts about manifesting is keeping your
faith that you will prevail. I’ve found, through my own experiences, that a
person’s weakest moment is right before something wonderful is about to happen.
It makes me think that I’m being tested, to see if I will just give up or
become even more determined to see it through to its conclusion.

You can believe this or not, but I actually used this
stop-smoking program with success after having smoked for about 7 years. The
first 3 weeks are, by far, the hardest. Up until this point I had tried 4 times
to quit, and each time I couldn't get past those first 3 weeks without a
cigarette. Now I have successfully gone 12 years without smoking and I am very
proud of myself, not only for having created a method that really worked for
me, but also for staying smoke-free.
UNDERSTANDING BASIC SCALES AND CHORDS - Part II

In
traditional classical music, there were rules established on what was
acceptable and what was not. Therefore the theory behind composing was set in a
fairly rigid format. But in modern music, we’ve thrown out most of the rules
and replaced them with guidelines, which are based on what sounds good and what
doesn’t. However, even with guidelines, in some instances, what your ear tells
you about what your brain creates contradicts what the guidelines say.
Therefore, let your ear be the judge and let your heart guide your creative
processes.
SPAM AND JUNK MAIL ARE BOTH SPAM

nuisance and both should be illegal to send.

Over the years, I think most of us, who use the Internet on
a regular basis, have tried one or more or maybe even lots of these home based
business opportunities that seem to be everywhere and in everyone’s email box.
Anyone who has had any real success with a home based Internet business is also
someone who has a real product that people want to buy. That’s the key to
having a successful business, either online or off in the real world.

A chord
is defined as 3 or more notes. The most basic chord types are major, minor,
augmented and diminished. Each of these chord types is formed using 3 notes.
Traditional classical music is structured around the basic chord types, unlike
modern music, which may use 4 or more notes to form each chord. As music has
evolved, so has chord structure.

Since this blog’s purpose is to learn how to create what you want from life, I thought it would be a good idea to elaborate on it a bit. This may sound odd, but the hardest part of getting what you want from your life may well be just deciding what that is, because it will take a lot of focus and perseverance to make it become reality. I have found this to be my greatest challenge. After you decide what you want, you do the focus, you visualize the end result, you formulate the proper sentence structure to initiate the thought processes and so on.
