You know, I've tried countless shaving products for men and aftershaves from drugstores and department stores. I was on a journey to concoct the perfect shaving experience. At this point I think I did just that. Now days I'm getting the best shave EVER! So men, here is my amazing shaving regimen.
1) Use a good face scrub like Jack Black Face Buff ($17) or Sharps Daily Prep Foaming Scrub ($20). This will slough away dead skin cells and help lift the whiskers for an optimal shaving experience.
2) Take a nice hot, steamy shower. This softens the facial whiskers and makes it easy for your Mach 3, Schick Quatro, double edged safety razor or straight edge blade to shave that beard scruff closely.
3) Use a fine shaving cream, gel or oil to prevent nicks, drag and razor bumps. I personally recommend Jack Black Beard Lube ($16). This stuff
is the BOMB! Your razor will glide with ease over your whiskers, cutting them clean and close.
4) Rinse your mug with cold water. This not only washes away remnants of whiskers and shaving product, but it also closes the pores up tight.
5) Slap on a good aftershave gel, lotion or balm. The best two I've found that are reasonably priced are Baxter of California After Shave Balm ($15) and what do know, Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel ($17).
Try this shaving regimen and I guarantee you'll thank me! Furthermore, if you grapple with irksome razor bumps and ingrown hairs, here are a few razor bump remedies that can help you; Tend Skin ($20), Baxter of California Razor Bump Repair ($18.50), and Anthony Logistics Ingrown Hair Treatment ($25).
I hope this information helps a few men out there with their regular shaving routines. You might as well make this daily grooming ritual the best experience you can.
