You love to write. Now what? How do you turn your writing skills into . . . er . . . cold . . . hard . . . cash? Building a home-based writing business takes time but the rewards make it worth the effort. Today, I'll discuss making a blog chart.
A blogging chart will help you to visualize where you want to go in regards to making income from your writing endeavors and can help you to keep focused and on track. And you will be surprised to see how daily effort can pay monthly dividends.
Let's take a look at the numbers. A typical blog post pays $5.00 (of course, you can be paid far more but let's work with this figure). Let's calculate Monday-Friday activity.
5.00 per day = 100.00 per month (1 post)
10.00 per day = 200.00 per month (2 posts)
15.00 per day = 300.00 per month (3 posts)
20.00 per day = 400.00 per month (4 posts)
25.00 per day = 500.00 per month (5 posts)
So, using this formula, you can mentally calculate, for example: 1 daily post = 100.00 per month
2 daily posts = 200.00 per month
5 daily posts = 500.00 per month
This 1 to100.00, 2 to 200.00 formula is a good mental reminder and an easy way to quickly calculate earnings.
If you are a serious blogger and have created numerous blogs, you are in a position to turn your writing skills into tangible monthly income. If you write 10 posts per day, you could make 1000.00 per month; 20 posts would translate into 2000.00 per month.
Now, remember, this chart is based on low-paying blog posts. Many paid opportunities offer 6.00, 8.50, 10.00 or 20.00 or higher. A chart will help you to stay motivated. Remember, daily effort translates into cash at month's end!

Hi, Tai,
The standard rate for a blog post is 5.00. That is what an advertiser will pay you to write about their product. This isn't fixed, however, some posts will net you more. It depends on the PR of your blog and the type of blog you have. Some posts, will net you hundreds. This is if you have a blog with a high PR. I've received 20.00, 10.00, 8.50, 6.00 as well as other amounts. It depends on the advertiser and what they are willing to offer bloggers. You need to sign up with different blogging outfits and submit your blog for approval. If you want more information, check out my writing-related blog: http://writeandearnalivin g.blogspot.com. I list the different blogging opps. as well as tips and tricks. |

Hi Steve,
No, Blog posts don't earn you money through ads. that would be a revenue share opportunity. Advertisers, however will pay you for your posts--and these usually run around $5.00 or more per post. This is pretty standard. For 100-200 words that's an average rate. I don't take opps. that are under this amount, say $2.00. I often get paid more. I didn't mean to imply that you are paid this each day for one posting. What I was getting at is that if you complete 1 blog post per day @ $5.00, this would net you 5.00 per day; 2 @ $5.00 would net you 10.00 per day and so on. If you have a number of blogs this is relatively easy to do. Hope this clarifies matters. |
