I know this issue has been addressed before, but I would like to touch on the importance of keywords again. I don't think all writers are implementing great keywords into their articles and blogs. However, whether you like it or not, keywords boost traffic.
Now, you may be wondering what keywords are or how in the world they can assist you in earning more revenue online. It's easy, really! Let's say you're going to write an article on "women's hair loss" or "treatments for women's hair loss." The words I stated could be your KEYWORDS. Not that you can't have other great keywords that pertain to the topic at hand, but you probably have a keyword phrase that you want to use in order to acquire certain traffic to your blog or website. If you have a website that addresses "hair loss" and you're currently creating a new blog that discusses "women's hair loss" and how it can be treated, a good keyword phrase would likely be "treatments for women's hair loss." This means that phrase should appear in the title and several times throughout the article or blog.
So, we've established what keywords and keyword phrases are, but you still may be wondering what they do. Basically when someone hops online, opens a browser and uses a search engine like Yahoo, Google or MSN, they punch in a word or phrase they're currently interested in. When they type that keyword phrase in and do a search, your article is more likely to show up since you made good use of the keywords in your article or blog.
Remember
not to go crazy with a keyword phrase! For example, if you write a 400-word article about custom dog collars, you shouldn't use the keyword phrase "custom dog collars" 37 times in the piece. Try more along the lines of 4-7 times. This way search engines identify what the article is about, but do not assume it's spam. Some web publishers prefer to make the keywords BOLD. This way they stand out to the reader, but that's just a personal choice.
Don't forget to use the keywords in your article or blog's title. Naturally you can add a few words to this. For instance, if your keyword phrase is "multivitamins for men," then you could make your title "Multivitamins for Men Improve Health." Or something along those lines. You get the idea! Also, your "Meta Keywords" (like when you publish a blog or article on PrintNPost.net) should be your keyword phrase. While that may be a no-brainer, I wanted to mention it anyway.
In the end, great keywords do boost traffic. This is merely one aspect of blogging and web publishing, but it's one that you don't want to dismiss. So before you write your next fabulous blog or article, take a moment to think about the keywords that could help it get indexed and attain more traffic faster. You may additionally want to punch that keyword phrase into a search engine to see what results show up. The Google ads, Yahoo ads, AdBright, ect... that show up on your web pages are likely going to be placed on there based on the keywords you used throughout the article/blog. Naturally you don't want dog food ads showing up on a blog about teeth whitening. So think about those keywords as you write! This will help you earn more revenue.
