As a writer of romance novels and an avid sports fan, I'm always trying to come up with new ways to combine the two. I heard about a new upstart team in Nascar that is selling sponsorship on their car. The wheels began turning in my head and I could just see a powerful car roaring around the track with the cover of my first novel beautifully wrapped around the sleek metal body. Then I mentioned the idea to my husband. God love him. . .he totally killed my dream.

He said, "I can just see the announcer trying to keep a straight face as he reports on the big wreck."

I don't think I'll be sponsoring a Nascar team any time soon.
