I'm a wanna be screen writer, stand-up comic, creative writer type. I see the humor in common every day things. Don't get me started on stories about my pets as I can go on non-stop. Click here: for Mary Yatti writings on the World Wide Web.
The view would be of huge oak trees home to playing kittens
or sleeping cats. Around noon I would swim
laps at a pool, lake, or ocean, then towel off, doze off in the sun…if it’s
extremely hot and I’m unmotivated I would do what Europeans and Mexicans do...take a siesta on my king size bed surrounded by my two border collies, blue heeler, mutt and
a few of my cats. Eat lunch if hungry. Sip Coke Zero with real lime. Visit people if lonely, if not, work on
projects I prefer like: making pet beds; training my dogs; feeding my pigs;
even cleaning the kitty litter box is preferable than some of the actual jobs I’ve
had. I would figure out a way for my
cell phone to ring only in an emergency.
I would listen to NPR in the
background or find some other non-obtrusive way to know what is going on in the
world. I remember that I wouldn't have
known about 9-11 if I hadn’t walked through the cafeteria at work and observed
people hovering around the Fox News network coverage. I was an engineer and shared an office with
another engineer. There were no windows, and you couldn’t tell the time of
day. You could work from 7 am until 7 pm
without being in touch with things.
I would have areas for my cats to catnap on cushioned cat perches attached to the window sills. Of course, I would build a few cedar habitat for cat houses for the local feral cats so they could be safe from predators and the environment. It would be cool to be in touch with nature all day, nothing but hills, clouds, trees, pets, wildlife without viewing any obnoxious people all day.
