The Holy Rosary, a very powerful weapon

I was raised in the Catholic Church, altar boy, Catholic school etc. I study daily the teachings of the Catholic Church, the life of Jesus Christ and the Bible. My posts will be based on my studies, personal thoughts and experiences as well as prayers and meditations for personal and spiritual growth.
Although I was raised in the Catholic church and went to Catholic school there was a time in my life when I questioned my faith and the entire Catholic church so I turned to the one person who I could speak openly with and confide my feelings to, my grandmother. My grandmother is very old school Catholic (I lived with my grandmother for a time and she would not allow me to even wash my clothes on Sunday because Sunday was a day of rest and honoring God). My grandfather passed away 26 years ago when I was a child and my grandmother never dated or saw another man because to her that would be adultery. She often spoke of 'cafeteria Catholics' meaning Catholics who would pick and choose what they believed or practiced while claiming to be Catholic. According to her the word of God has never changed, people have always tried to tweak the word of God or the practice of the Catholic church to fit their lifestyle because at times it's inconvenient to be Catholic (how do you think the Church of England got started?) . I have to admit it takes a strong person and a strong faith to follow the traditional teaching of the Catholic church especially in this day and age where anything goes and people are trying to push God out of everything.
With my faith in question I asked my grandmother where I should start on my quest to find the truth. She told me to pray the rosary everyday. I did not understand at the time why she suggested that and to be honest it took me some time to get on board and actually pray the rosary on a daily basis. There are those who will claim praying to Mary is the equivilant of worshipping flase idols. This is not true, Mary is not God or Jesus but she is the Mother of God and led a sinless life so she is held in very high regard within the Catholic church. According to church teachings when you pray to Mary she will take your prayers to God which makes them more powerful and God will use your prayers where they are needed in the world. Exactly how powerful is Mary in the fight against Satan?
"The Devil fears the Virgin Mary more, not only than men and angels but, in a certain sense, than God himself. It is not that the wrath, the power and the hatred of God are not infinitely greater than those of the Blessed Virgin, since Mary's perfections are limited: it is because, in the first place, Satan, being proud, suffers infinitely more from being overcome and punished by the little, humble servant of God, her humility humiliating him more than the divine power; and secondly, because God has given Mary such great power over devils that, as they have often been obliged to admit, in spite of themselves, through the mouths of possessed
persons, they are more afraid of one of her sighs of grief over some poor soul, than of the prayers of the saints, and more daunted by a single threat from her than by all their other torments" (Resource - Evidence of Satan in the Modern World by Monsignor Leon Cristiani, Roman Catholic Priest
That's pretty powerful stuff. For those who faithfully pray the rosary Mary has granted 15 promises as follows:
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
3. The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtaian for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
10. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
12. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination.
I hate to admit I did not fully believe the above promises of Mary until I myself received and continue to receive these promises of Mary after a time of faithfully reciting the rosary on a daily basis. The rosary is not meant exclusively for Catholics. Catholics and non-Catholics alike pray the rosary and can tesify to it's power. I challenge you to pick up a rosary and see for yourself...

That is interesting to know. I know prayer is a powerful way of getting in touch with personal thoughts. Not being familiar with the Catholic Church, many aspects interest me like the rosary and stations of the cross.
