While I personally find it incredulous to believe that there's a game referred to as the "World Series of Poker", it appears that Jerry Yang walked away from the table with 8.25 million dollars in winnings. Hush yo mouth! Seriously?
The twist though, is that the 36-year-old Hmong man is also a practicing psychologist who uses his formal training to help beat his opponents. To X-Men fans that's akin to playing poker with Charles Xavier, the character who can read minds. I'm sure
it's pretty difficult to bluff someone who is trained to pick up on subtle changes in your body language and speech that indicate when you're lying.
While you could laugh at the fact that he's using his years of medical training to play poker, you have to give him credit for one thing: He DID win the game! And, I'm sure the 8.25 million will pay off his student loans.
